Surya Namaskar Variation A comes from the Traditional Ashtanga Primary Series by Pattabhi Jois. This is the first sequence of movements done in the Ashtanga class as it wakes the body up and brings movement and breath together to create vinyasa. This provides great focus. It can be done every day first thing in the morning to wake the body up and create some heat and fire. A great practice to wake up, stretch and move your body.
