Stomach & Spleen Chi
Yin with Sian
35 min · breast feeding - ground - taoist
Yin Yoga draws upon the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, so the language around this style of yoga often works with Qi (chi), meridian lines (energy lines) and organs. In this series of practices we focus on the organs and their related energy lines and use the practice to create balance and healing through massage, healing sounds and postures.
The organs of the spleen and stomach are connected in Chinese Medicine. If our guts are out of balance we lack the capacity to draw in food chi, leading to weakness in the body, tired muscles and compromised immunity. This practice connects us to the nurturing energy of the earth, to keep us supported, healthy, and is very good for breastfeeding mothers and those who experience a lot of anxiety or worry.
