Lung Chi

Yin with Sian
40 min · heal - vitality - taoist

Yin Yoga draws upon the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, so the language around this style of yoga often works with Qi (chi), meridian lines (energy lines) and organs. In this series of practices we focus on the organs and their related energy lines and use the practice to create balance and healing through massage, healing sounds and postures.

Our lungs connect us directly to the outside world through our breath and play a key role in the production of vital chi. In Chinese medicine they are referred to as the ‘tender’ or ‘delicate’ organ and are affected by our emotions such as grief and sadness. When lung chi is flowing freely are energy levels are steady and our respiration is strong.
