Pranavashya yoga is a yoga series taught by Vinay Kumar in Mysore India. The postures of this practice are similar to the Ashtanga series but works with a different intention and energy. Pranavashya yoga is a slow and conscious dynamic flow with attention fully on the breath. This deep connection with the breath allows us to become completely aware of each movement and our mental responses, reminding us how deeply the breath, mind and body are connected.

Pranavashya means  ‘the controlling of the prana’. Here we will utilise breath retentions in the Sun Salutation. With a regular practice, you will start to build inner power and strength from the resistance during the breath locks.

This practice will help you drop into your body and connect to your breath, strengthen your physical body for the life force that you are consciously drawing in, leaving you feeling grounded and energised.
